Mud Lake
American white pelicans & grebes
The Hawks in the Field Apparently I went birding at the perfect time for hawks. There were hundreds of them scattered around. Every large haybale had one, and this field had many. Every brown spot equals another hawk.
Most of them were Red tailed hawks
There were fewer Rough legged hawks like this one
Swainson’s hawk that refused to take off. After 15 minutes I gave up and moved on.
