Weekend in Price

Along with the rodeo I got to indulge in a bit of birding, a wonderful dinner at a favorite restaurant and just driving around enjoying the fall color.

The mud was a bit more than I bargained for so I made a million point turn just a little farther down this road. DSCN4711

Once upon a time Eurasian Collared Doves were hard to find. Not so anymore. They’ve definitely made there way here.

It’s funny how even the most common birds still make me happy: House sparrows DSCN4707

Magpies, Crows, Ravens, Red tailed hawks, Bald eagle, Northern harrier, Turkey vultures, Rock doves, Eurasian collared doves, Northern flicker (red-shafted), Canada geese, House sparrows, Barn swallows, and one gorgeous Mountain bluebird.

The bluebird was perched on a wire next to the highway. I was stopped because of an accident. In the end we all had to turn around and take a detour, that accident took 3 hours to clear. Ah well, I got re-routed through a gorgeous canyon.

Wonderful weekend. — Jenny

Oh, you want the name of that restaurant? It’s the Cowboy Club in Wellington UT (31 East Main St)
