I listened to James Alexander Currie speak at a bird festival a couple of years ago. I immediately purchased both of his available dvds and his book. He is a fabulous speaker, very engaging, very knowledgable. The book chronicles his life as a wildlife guide in South Africa where he grew up. It’s packed full of funny, awesome, scary adventure stories.

What you miss in reading his book is his wonderful accent. The dvd’s and youtube episodes feature great birds, solid conservation & ecotourism principles and are lots of fun.
