Every spring the South East Idaho Gem and Mineral Society holds a Rock and Gem show at the county fairgrounds. I love this show. There are lots of rocks, jewelry, demonstrations, door prizes and more. I try and go every year. I also try and go to rock shows throughout the region. I find these shows by going to the Rock&Gem web site. They have a page specific to these kinds of shows: http://www.rockngem.com/ShowDatesFiles/ShowDatesDisplayAll.php?ShowState=ALL. The listing is by month/date but you can adjust the display to specific states. The list evolves over time as clubs register their gem, mineral, and rock shows.
