Continuing to bird: Camas, Mud Lake, & Market Lake 11/23/21 Trumpeter swans and Mallards Rough legged hawk Autumn at the wetlands Great blue heron Seed heads Another rough legged hawk Black billed magpie Tetons in the distance Canada geese on a frozen pond Menan buttes in the distance
Early morning at the Camas Refuge 11/23/21 There were so many Trumpeter swans waiting to head out. A swan would start flapping its wings and then more would start flapping and then the family group(s) would head out.
Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge 11/21/21 Blues and golds Common ravens Clark’s grebe Assorted ducks, mostly buffleheads and ruddy ducks with a few coots and unknowns. Intense autumn colors Pied billed grebe Canada geese Sunflower seedheads Rough legged hawk Curves in reflection

Bison Roundup on Antelope Island 10/30/21 Every year they round up the bison on Antelope Island. People with horses are allowed to register/volunteer to help. 10/19/21 Camas Refuge & Market Lake Sadly they were burning out invasive plants and doing maintenance at Camas so the refuge loops were closed. A pond full of Canada geese near Market Lake Ruddy ducks And a supersized donkey
10/15/21 Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge Shanna and I stopped at the Bear River Refuge the night before we attended the Van Gogh exhibit. Sadly it’s hunting season so most of the waterfowl were in hiding. On the otherhand it was a gorgeous evening.
