Cedar Breaks National Monument

On the way to Cedar City there was a brush fire right by the road. Traffic slowed enough that I was able to wrestle my camera out. I tried using the CPL filter that came with the camera but it doesn’t work with my mid sized lens. Alas, it would allegedly have taken the glare of my windshield out from a couple of the photos that I dared shoot through it.

Saturday afternoon I birded my way up to Cedar Breaks National Monument

Such a gorgeous monument and drive. Interestingly I didn’t see a lot of bird species, but I did see lots, and lots, and flocks, of white crowned sparrows, two stellar’s jays and one lone brown creeper.

  1. Hello Jenny, the fires around Boise made some of our days look like this. I wore a medical mask for several days. It was so bad, I felt rotten for the fire fighters and their families! Plus ALL the wildlife. I had Steller’s Jays in our back yard last year, couldn’t get to my camera fast enough though. Wow. Thanks for another grand batch.
